Specific activities are governed by dedicated commitments and procedures to ensure we stay on track towards our environmental goals.
COMMITMENT
At Arena Learning, we partner with others to foster growth, create jobs, and improve community life. We acknowledge that our operations affect the environment in several ways:

Paper – We aim to limit the paper consumed in our daily operations.
We’re driven to minimise our environmental impact and are aiming for a Net Zero Carbon status by 2035. To support this ambition and continually improve our environmental performance, we will:
Follow all relevant legislation and standards, meeting and exceeding the expectations of our customers and stakeholders. Prevent pollution through effective systems and procedures. Encourage suppliers to align with our environmental commitments. Continuously review and improve our environmental performance. Strive for ongoing improvement of our environmental management system.
Our specific actions will include:
Limiting energy consumption through staff education and improved control systems.
Reducing business travel through efficient journey planning.
Decreasing paper use through staff awareness and the promotion of digital communication and data storage.
Optimising our ICT hardware usage and ensuring all electronic waste is recycled or reused where possible.
Decreasing waste production through mindful purchasing decisions, prioritizing reuse or recycling before disposal.
Utilising available recycling facilities for paper, plastic bottles, cans, batteries, electronic waste, and other waste streams.
We also have dedicated commitments addressing individual environmental impacts, including:
A Waste Commitment guiding waste collection, storage, and disposal.
An Electrical and Confidential Waste Disposal Commitment ensuring data security and recycling of ICT hardware.

Our Strategic Priorities and Objectives incorporate Environmental Sustainability, which is reviewed annually and reported to the Arena Learning Directors.
To achieve our environmental objectives, we’re committed to open communication about our environmental commitments and performance with our suppliers, employees, customers, and wider stakeholders. This is achieved through our procurement processes and existing communication channels.
We will review this commitment and the actions arising from it annually as part of our business planning process, which will involve input from Arena Learnings’ Senior Leadership and Management Teams.
