We offer support on all delivery sites – in-class, outside of the classroom, with exams and assessments and in the wider environment. This support is to enable you to access all available opportunities and that you enjoy yourself whilst studying at Arena Learning.
We work in partnership with teaching staff, other internal services and external organisations to provide a person-centred approach. The support we offer is regularly reviewed and our aim, where possible, is to guide you towards independence.
If you have an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP), ALS will produce a bespoke support plan outlining the support that you while with Arena Learning, subject to commissioning. This may include:
If you don’t have an EHCP but still have SEN then ALS will produce a bespoke support plan outlining the support you need at Arena Learning. If Arena Learning are unable to provide you with the correct level of additional learning support (ALS) required, we will ensure to signpost you to another provider who can support you.
Once you have declared a learning need and/or disability. Additional Learning Support will contact you to organise assessment. ALS will send out an ALS Questionnaire. You or parent/carer will need to fill in the ALS Questionnaire with as much detail as possible before you return it back.
Our ALS initial assessment is where you meet one of our Student Services who will discuss your learning needs and how to best support you whilst with Arena Learning.
